Edwardian Dress 1918 Fabulous!

$1,545.00

museum piece ** It belonged to and was tagged Jean Chrysler as in The famous Chrysler Museum in Virginia. Her husband was Walter Chrysler Jr. son of Chrysler Car Corp. Their are books written about them. I have to say that I've bought a lot of vintage in my day and I'm pretty jaded about most of it. This dress nearly made me faint! Stunning beadwork gigantic old lace down the center front and back with embroidered circle medallions. It's covered in long glass beads and the arms have beaded little tassels around them. Its covered in decadent hungarian style embroidery and fringe. All black different shades/variations of black. The really old stuff the kind that looks like something in one of those old time decadent silents. Very Barbara La Marr. Jean was a tall striking woman and only wore the best and it is the best I've come across. It Edwardian around 1918 it could have been passed down to her. It only has a few places that are missing beads which is shocking. I carried it like a baby today. It weighs probably 15 pounds .
It does have a few repairs at the shoulders and around the beaded areas. Even with repairs I've never had a dress this fabulous. As Found all sales are final so please ask questions no exceptions! This is a larger size ask me about measurements.
